Bill of Quantities

Post by Glensy on Thu Feb 16, 2012 3:34 pm

Hi!

With regards to the Bill of Quantities for Infra Projects, is it mandatory for the procuring entity to put the quantities in the Quantity column of the BOQ? Or is it the bidder(s) who will fill in the quantities based on the plans/drawings and technical specifications of the project?

Thank you.

Sir Riddler,

But would it be disadvantageous to the procuring entity in case the quantity it indicated in the BOQ is found to be lower / higher than the quantity needed during the implementation of the project?

Can the bidder just base the quantity on the plans and specifications of the project?

Very Happy hi Glen. There are various Clauses in the Contract (General conditions of the contract) on how and when to address Lower/Higher quantities of items during project implementation. e.g. Variation Order/s in quantities which shall not be 10% lower/higher than the contract cost.. Very Happy
